Iranian multi-instrumentalist Gola delivers bold new track "The Line"
Exiled from her own country, Iran's Gola delivers a bold offering as her debut English-speaking track "The Line".
Gola's "The Line" is a sultry offering that weaves an intricate beat with Gola's compelling vocals that warp to project her bold songwriting.
The robust vocals in the chorus have a calming effect on the pulsating melody, slowing down the persistent beat to a distant beeping that meanders with Gola's intimate vocal tones as she delivers a united track calling for the end of discrimination against women.
Speaking about her new track, Gola explains, “There is always a stage in your life when you say “enough is enough” and you make a change to reclaim your power. "The Line” is a metaphor that is deeply personal but at the same time I feel that everyone can relate to its meaning. The overriding message is about the power of women, unity and the strength inside each of us. So many women today don’t have the chance to have their voice heard and I feel that I have the responsibility as an artist to be a voice for them, while also staying true to myself.”
Gola fled from Iran where they forbid her from releasing any music, and came to the UK to let her creativity flourish.
"The Line" was co-written and produced by twenty5, formerly Cash from Cash & David.
Fusing glossy pop with sultry R&B, Gola finds a powerful platform to project her messages of empowering women with effortless charm.
