Listen: God Damn – “Shoe Prints In The Dust”
Fresh from their first UK headline tour and a string of dates with The Wytches, God Damn have unleashed their explosive new single just as they head into the studio to record their debut album.
If you’re not already familiar with the Midlands duo, now would be the perfect time to make their acquaintance. Freshly signed to One Little Indian, the two-piece are primed to take your attention, your affections, and possibly your hearing by storm.
“Shoe Prints In The Dust” is a perfect example of the band’s prowess. Screeching refrains and rolling percussion showcase God Damn as perfect masters of their craft. Frontman Thomas Edward’s vocals resound with a brutal intensity, whilst Ash Weaver’s tightly-honed rhythms are capable of engulfing you completely before leaving you reeling.
It’s rock and roll at its loudest, its rawest, and its most extreme, bursting at the seams with ceaseless energy and characteristic flair – and god damn, we can’t wait to see what else this band are capable of.
The band are set to perform in London on 31 May as part of Camden Rocks Festival. “Shoe Prints In The Dust” is out on 21 April.
