Listen: Glasser – “Shape” (MP Williams Remix)
Glasser, the experimental/electronic project of Cameron Mesirow, released “Shape” off her sophomore album Interiors last Autumn. Mesirow used her glacial voice to propel us into her world, and A$AP Rocky producer, MP Williams, has built upon the atmospheric song to take it to new heights.
“Shape” finds Mesirow testing the boundaries of her mind, something she’s skilled at doing sonically on Interiors. Williams samples and layers her celestial vocals, creating an expansive backdrop in which to surround them. The New York producer’s cinematic style points to Clams Casino’s dreamy soundscapes, and his “Shape” remix is hypnotizing for all the reasons why we fell in love with Clams’, “I’m God”. It’s haunting, beautiful, and armed with an energy that makes it perfect for continued listening.
Williams is currently working on his debut EP titled Balance.
