Georgia Twinn pairs teen angst with unapologetic pop bombast on “You Shouldn’t Have F****d With Me"
Seventeen-year-old pop prodigy Georgia Twinn explodes into view with her emotionally direct debut single, “You Shouldn’t Have F****d With Me”.
Let’s face it: being a teenager can be hard work. Not only do you have to contend with the fact that everything about you is changing faster than a Q2 2020 album release date, but you have also got to attempt to juggle your schoolwork, your personal relationships, and your social life. For some, these are the best years of your life; for others, it is a time that they would rather forget ever existed.
Fortunately, Georgia Twinn has managed to take those probably-better-forgotten moments of adolescent life and channel them into a pop song so brilliant that it’ll make you wonder whether the whole thing was worth the pain after all.
Pulsing and lyrically explosive, debut single "You Shouldn't Have F****d With Me" is a break-up banger for the no-fucks-given generation. Despite being only 17, Georgia’s crooning vocals have an undeniable maturity, even when slathered over pounding snares and devilishly catchy synth refrains. "You know I like the taste of your tears…," remarks Twinn. "Boy, you shouldn’t have fucked with me".
With such a no-nonsense attitude to being scorned, Twinn ensures the track is destined to become a hot-headed breakup anthem before the year is out.
