
Gazelle explores the excitement of immediate attraction on sultry debut "Stay For The Night"
Liverpool-based artist Gazelle makes her striking debut with the impressively soulful tones of "Stay For The Night" where she narrates the magic of those "love at first sight" moments.
Pop music doesn't always have to tell a story to be great and grab your attention, but when it does tell a relatable tale, it can be magical. The way that Gazelle is able to narrate the simplicity of a story of attraction on her debut track is an example of when it really works.
Taking on the role of the narrator, the song sees her indulge in realistic depictions of the characters as she builds their story. The song is then built on earworm melodies that further express the perfection of those magical moments where the world aligns for a purpose, always underpinned by a powerful bassline that shudders through your very core, much like the electricity of attraction that she is describing.
Explaining the story behind the track, Gazelle says "It's important to me for my songs from personal experiences or a true story that I’ve witnessed. 'Stay For The Night' is actually about how my friend met her boyfriend in the crowd at a festival we were at; that bubble of pure contentment when you automatically connect with someone you meet and you don't want the night to end."
"Stay For The Night" is the perfect summertime banger and it looks like Gazelle may be pop storyteller to keep an eye on.
