Brighton psych-sludge trio Gang share brooding new single "Eye Garden" [Premiere]
"Eye Garden" by Brighton's Gang is a bumpy ride into the depths of fuzz. Hear it here first.
Gang conjure the sound of a descending smoke cloud: intoxicating, sinister and ominous. Swirling psychedelia undercuts the trio’s penchant for Black Sabbath -esque riffs and a doomy approach to songwriting.
Brothers Eric and Jimi Tormey’s vocal exchange transforms the three minute expulsion into an unholy hymnal that brings you sharply to your knees. "Eye Garden" is intentionally menacing and unsettling.
In Jimi’s words: “On a metaphorical level, it's about those situations when you are struggling with the outside world and you need somewhere to go. And there's nowhere quite as safe- seemingly safe (it's actually really dangerous if you spend too much time there) as the inside of your mind.”
