Francobollo ramp up the intensity on new track "Worried Times"
Weird and wonderful Swedish rockers Francobollo are back, announcing debut album Long Live Life and releasing new track "Worried Times".
"Worried Times" is like a barrage of fireworks in musical form, combining moments of slow, subdued build up with explosive choruses that will be going round your head for days after you hear them. The lyrics are perfectly offset by buoyant melodies and guitar lines that seem almost designed to whistle along to, just another example of the groups ability to seamlessly merge disparate elements to create a song that’s far greater than the sum of its parts.
Singer Simon Nilsson dug a little deeper into the track, explaining: "The song is about claustrophobia, and the fear of being locked down, tied to, held up or forced by something or someone, and about the fine art of committing."
Francobollo are already getting known for their raucous live performances, and went to lengths to translate this energy onto record. The group’s debut was even recorded in front of a live audience to ensure that none of the spark was lost, and if "Worried Times" is anything to go by, it’s a tactic that’s worked like a charm.
