Baby Strange, Anteros, The Pale White - all three bands have given FEVA the nod of approval with recent support slots; a show of confidence that the northern outfit totally deserve on this showing.
"Uneasy" is simple. It’s straightforward. And it’s incredibly effective. Dark and direct, its claustrophobic intensity is the combined result of a post-punk, almost gothic aesthetic and the displaced lyrics detailing the day-to-day paranoia that’s almost second nature in modern life.
A step away from the Circa Waves-esque indie of previous singles, FEVA feel far more at home performing in the shadows. There are certainly no frills to "Uneasy", though within that lies the appeal. After all, when it’s already this good, what more do you need?
On the track, the band says “It’s not as much of a story but more of a statement. The expectations of life can often leave us well and truly out of our comfort zone, torn between yesterday and tomorrow. "Uneasy” is a punk song at heart, simple and very, very angry. Forget yesterday, forget tomorrow, you’ll get it right eventually."
