Farrah gives reassurance on vibrant new track "Making Do"
Infused with serene R&B, Farrah's "Making Do" is a self-encouraging track delivered with elegance and sincerity.
Inspired by her father's Iranian music and sultry R&B, Farrah combines both with a twist of subtle electronica to provide a tropical, yet evocative message to banish self-doubt.
Speaking to us about her new track, Farrah explains, "Lyrically, I wanted to completely expose myself and be honest about the current position I'm in because in a social media-fuelled 2018, a lot of people are too preoccupied with making their lives look perfect on a screen, failing to address their real issues.
Both exposing and empowering, "Making Do" is a humble hint of honesty and reflection, wrapped up in a delightfully vibrant beat that progresses quite delicately to allow Farrah's vocals to shine through. Farrah explains, "As a young British-Iranian female, I am so grateful to live in a country where I can express my feelings through song so freely."
The strong choruses showcase Farrah's determination to stick to her craft despite life's obstacles, while her layered harmonies ooze with tantalising tones that are delivered angelically.
Farrah adds, "This song is significant to me because it's the first song I wrote when I decided to really go for it as 'Farrah'. I was bored of expressing other people's emotions and wanted to make a statement about who I am. Emotionally, that meant exploring my insecurities as an artist, a singer and generally a young woman in 2018. A few people advised me not to release this song first but emotionally it just made sense and I had to follow my gut. It's my first step out of my comfort zone and it's my way of introducing listeners to the real me."
Her impressive offering holds an important message and is delivered with profound and honest emotion, making the track an impressive, and sincere offering entwined with an infectious melody.
