Australian six-piece FAIRCHILD dazzle on new track "Start Again"
Fairchild are a six-piece band, originally from Australia, who have recently relocated to Manchester.
They've supported Penn Badgely's band MOTHXR on tour, and have an upcoming slot on The Human League's A Very British Synthesizer Tour. In the midst of all this excitement, the group have managed to write and record "Start Again", a huge hit of synth-pop with a gender-bending homemade video. The track is produced and mixed by Catherine Marks - who has also worked with such names as Foals and Wolf Alice - and like previous releases, hints at 80s influences alongside its more contemporary elements.
“To start again doesn’t mean to tear something down in a bout of frustration and rebuild from scratch," singer Adam Lyons states. "It means to reflect, to reassess, to paint over parts of the picture that aren’t working and have faith that new choices will take you somewhere. "Start Again" is really the synopsis of FAIRCHILD’s history. The impetus of our band has always been to repave a new path when we’re lost or in the wrong place. Take what’s salvageable and say so long and thank you to the rest.”
"Start Again" is out 15 November.
