Taken from the upcoming album Nothing to Escape, “LA Sky” is a wonderful mix of cosmic country and psychedelic rock.
The brainchild of Erik Flores and Amelia Rose Logan, Fairbanks & The Lonesome Light hail from Austin, Texas and make sprawling country/americana in the style of Gillian Welch, Wilco and Amber Rubarth. On new track “LA Sky” the group demonstrate vocal dexterity and instrumental ingenuity rooted in Flores rock and roll background whilst filling the gap between minimalist folk and heartland harmony. Essentially, "LA Sky" is a triumphant introduction to a cracking bunch of hat wearing foot stompers.
“LA Sky” taken from Nothing to Escape out 25 August.
