Fabienne dropped the strong debut jam ‘Smokescreen’ a month or so back, announcing her arrival as one of 2013′s most intriguing vocal talents.
The track gets a release this month as the flipside of pop gem ‘Taxi’, which sees the Bradford-born LIPA graduate showing an equal adeptness for playful R&B-flecked pop. Radio-friendly on the surface, the song bears its teeth with an unfolding snap against an inconsiderate lover.
Now based in London, the 21-year old is working with young up-and-coming producer and multi-instrumentalist Fred Cox (Etta Bond, Little Nikki).
‘Taxi’ is released alongside ‘Smokescreen’ via Super Recordings. Watch the video, premièring exclusively on Best Fit, below.
