The summer(ish) days are drawing to an end, that gulp-inducing feeling of the beginning of term is looming (even for those of us that left school a long, long time ago) and the need for a light, gently consuming pop song to take our minds off of things is becoming more and more evident. It is, therefore, the perfect moment to indulge in the soft, entrancing creations of husband and wife duo, Mint Julep.
Hailing from Portland, Oregon, Keith & Hollie Kenniff create gorgeous, sweeping melodies, all held together by the soothing vocal of Hollie and steadily layered electronic rhythms. Mint Julep’s album, Save Your Season, has been pencilled in for November, so to celebrate this, The Line of Best Fit are offering an exclusive download of ‘Aviary’, the first track to appear from their forthcoming album. Soothing and romantic, hazy and catchy, ‘Aviary’ is an enticing taster of what the duo have in store for us later in the year.
