Eves The Behavior’s “TV” gets the Warpaint remix treatment
Leave it to Warpaint to take a contemplative pop track and mould it into a synth-laced, downtempo banger.
In its original incarnation, “TV” delves into the warped and voyeuristic world of television viewing. Hannah Karydas (a.k.a. Eves The Behavior) is something of a lyrical wunderkind, and the track sees her waxing poetic on “imitating tendencies” and “blind” machines.
With an injection of bass and the addition of a beat - both courtesy of Warpaint - Karydas’ visions are reanimated in a danceable fashion. Her lyrics are stripped down until only of a fraction of the chorus remains, and the phrase “I caught my face/on an icy screen” becomes the remix’s ghostly centrepiece.
“TV (WARPAINT – STEEZ Remix)” will be featured on Eves The Behavior’s forthcoming self-titled debut EP, due for release on 24 July. Give the track a listen below.
