The Pacific Coast duo turn conversations into melodies on new track “It’ll Never Be This Good”.
Following the release of songs “Nice Smell”, written about cat calls and animalistic men on the streets of New York and “They Scared”, chronicling a serendipitous conversation with a stranger, Eugene Marie return with a stunning, self-titled EP full of humorous and sometimes quite troubling stories and anecdotes.

“It’ll Never Be This Good” is taken from the EP and sounds a bit like Judy Garland fronting a synth pop band. Images of Grace Kelly twirling a parasol around a 1940s swimming pool in Bellevue Avenue instantly spring to mind, whilst the soft electronica gives the whole piece a ‘80s nostalgia feel. This is essentially Hepburn in spandex sweating to '80s workout music.
