Sydney girlband Erthlings' second offering “Cuts & Bruises” is a deep atmospheric change in pace
“Cuts & Bruises” is the new track from four-piece schoolfriends Erthlings, who started writing songs together at the age of nine. Yes, nine.
Aussie teen band Erthlings' second single sees the girlband developing a more moody depth, retaining the tenacious attitude of their shimmering debut track “Bridges”. Heavenly layered vocals are contrasted by a hypnotic chorus of crunching beats and throbbing deep-house influenced synths, punctuated by twangs of grungey guitars.
Erthlings' new darker shift in sound is echoed through the theme behind the new track, which touches on self-sabotage. Lead vocalist Issy says, "”Cuts & Bruises” is about toxic relationships, and the fact that you can see bad things coming, but sometimes you do nothing about it".
