Elder Island turn up the reverb on "Key One"
“Key One” is the lead track from Bristol-based trio Elder Island’s Seeds In Sand EP.
The track opens with dramatic guitars, reverb echoing over a simple bassline. Their sound is dance-infused pop, driven by a forceful female lead vocal.
"Key One was the first track to be written after 2014's self titled EP,” lead singer Katy explains. “It developed organically whilst we were writing and gigging the live set, which is evident in the overall atmosphere of the finished track. Aided by some new kit we had been enjoying playing more upbeat, danceable music. We wanted to keep the life and energy we had when performing the track, so we changed it very little in the production stages. In this way it was one of the easiest more natural songs we've made."
Elder Island’s Seeds In Sand EP is out now.
