Ecila's second single "Follow U" is a moody, obsessive banger
Stockholm-based singer Alice Siwe is a graduate of the prestigious Södra Latin school, whose alumni includes the likes of Max Martin, Lykke Li and Yung Lean. It's a lot to live up to, but under the recording name Ecila she's off to a great start with a couple of fine singles.
Ecila's second track is "Follow U", a dark pop tale of infatuation and mania made after returning to Stockholm following a much-needed break from writing music.
“'Follow U' is about being stuck on someone, and not being able to let that person go," says Ecila. "Eventually it makes you feel like you've lost your mind."
Synths pulse alongside Ecila's impassioned and pained vocal, while the progammed drums snap hard in a wild chorus where the Swede tries to let go...but just can't quite make it happen. "Follow U" hints at great things, and hopefully there's more to come from Ecila.
