Malmö’s Echo Ladies unveil “Nothing Ever Lasts” taken from their self-titled debut EP
The Swedish natives have recently inked a deal with Sonic Cathedral.
Inspired by Echo and The Bunnymen and employing sounds reminiscent of Dum Dum Girls and Those Darlins, Echo Ladies pack a real grungy punch on debut track “Nothing Ever Lasts”. This new offering is the perfect introduction to a band obviously rooted in American garage but with a distinctly European twist.
In their own words: “The song is quite straightforward. It focuses on the feeling of loneliness and isolation you get when everyone around you is travelling, moving to new places or going on adventures, while your own life stays the same. The sound is inspired by Echo & The Bunnymen’s song 'The Cutter’, by trying to create an epic but sad chorus that would just go on and on.”
