Dream Wife fuse endless charisma with serrated punk-pop riffs on new song "Hey Heartbreaker"
London-based three piece Dream Wife are sharing "Hey Heartbreaker", a new song from their upcoming self-titled debut EP.
This new offering solders together infectious vocals (courtesy of Icelandic vocalist Rakel Mjöll) and razor-sharp rock'n'roll, creating a heady brew that socks modern love in the jaw and nods to Charli XCX's unpolished punk demos. Dream Wife lacquer the feral mess with endless charisma, and you can't help but belt along as they howl into the ether - it's addictive, charming, and explodes from your speakers at 100mph.
The trio yesterday celebrated Valentine's Day with a cover of Peaches' "Fuck The Pain Away", which they say is the greatest love song of all time.
The Dream Wife EP is out 11 March via Cannibal Hymns. The band are set to play London's Birthdays the same day, with support from Icelandic rap collective Reykjavíkurdætur.
