This week Dutch duo Weval will release their new Half Age EP on the Atomnation label. Harm Coolen and Merijn Scholteboth have a background in the film industry and that influence certainly comes to the fore on EP opener ‘Out Of The Game’. It’s a calm keys led electronic score that would fit well with a film’s rainy introductory scene. The steady bass notes mimic heartbeat murmurs and while it’s all very peaceful throughout, there’s a rousing quality to its dark bliss.
Half Age is out on 19th March. Pre-order here.
