Nottingham artist Drops trades in the sort of intricately looped guitars that one imagines might soundtrack the most poignant scene of a Midwestern indie film, all string squeaks and bittersweet melancholy. This Message To Bears rework of ‘You Have My Word’ repaints the track in a rather more dour palette, opting for funereal strings over the original’s thrusting kick drum.
