Sheffield producer Stewart Green took a trip across the Indian Ocean last year. His forthcoming Humility EP is based on that voyage; on the “limitless sky and the relentless ocean”, as he has it.
‘Departners’, the first track to materialise from that EP, is suitably aquatic. With metallic distortion offset against warm bass swells, it is the sound of being gently lulled to sleep in the hull of a rusting ship.
Humility is out 7 August. In the meantime, download ‘Departners’ below.
