Double threat rising star Naomi Scott drops smooth R&B cut "So Low"
You might recognise Hounslow, West London-born Naomi Scott from her casting as Jasmine in the upcoming live-action remake of Disney's Aladdin but the 25-year old been developing a parallel career as a singer since being discovered by Eternal's Kéllé Bryan in her teens.
New track "So Low" is a gliding slice of low-key R&B with an effortless vocal that relates the drag of a failed love. "I wrote 'So Low' about a friend of mine, who was in a relationship that left them pretty drained," Scott tells Best Fit.
"I liked the contrast and idea of writing quite sad lyrics against an upbeat fun track. It's heartbreak illustrated in a playful way, (if that's even possible!)."
Scott also the dropped another track this week too - the more upbeat, smooth jam "Undercover".
