Watch: Doomsquad - "Disremember/Dismemberment" (NSFW) [Premiere]
Toronto sibling trio Doomsquad play The Great Escape next week (8 May) in support of their debut album Kalaboogie for Hand Drawn Dracula/No Pain in Pop. Keep your eyes peeled for a Best Fit ‘Introducing’ feature with the band next week but, in the meantime, feast them on the new video for “Disremember/ Dismemberment”.
The video was directed by Luke McCutcheon and finds Benjamin Kamino naked and alone in what appears to be a man-made forest. As the claustrophobic beats and drones build and swirl, Kamino works into an ecstatic, trance-like dance. He convulses and twists as haunting female vocals chant wordlessly, before emerging from the trance still and at peace as the video fades to black.
