Donna Missal airs atmospheric electro-R&B jam "The Keeper"
New Jersey's Donna Missal is sharing her ridiculously smooth new single "The Keeper" on Best Fit.
Missal's new jam slinks and creeps between jazz and Carousel oompah and slithering electro-R&B - it's a bit like the OST to Green Wing in places. It's effortlessly slick, and it grabs your ears from the first beat, tugging you into Missal's misty world.
Missal says of the tune: "'The Keeper' was written at Diamond Mine studio in Queens NY, with some guys I've since grown really close to as collaborators. They work with artists like Lee Fields and Sharon Jones who I have so much respect for. We get together and listen to hip-hop and old soul records and make songs that reflect our influences while sort of riding their own wave."
