"Chemical" is a dancefloor-filling banger from mysterious trio DIICE
Built on a bed of stripped-back percussive beats, "Chemical" is a low-key banger from the UK R&B outfit that was tailor-made to get you out on the dancefloor.
"Chemical" begins with some simple, melodic synths, where each element of the song is slowly introduced, easing you in to DIICE's colourful world where the good times never end. Frequent collaborator Alys Williams' pristine vocals help to set the track's sultry tone as she encourages you to forget your woes and indulge yourself in the track's feel-good vibes.
Yet, it's when the huge chorus kicks in that things really start to heat up, as the syncopated synths blast in alongside the disco-inspired beat, ensuring a reaction that demands that you get moving.
DIICE are a production trio who have kept their identities firmly under the radar, producing work for an array of artists over the past few years. However, they have now put together their own body of work that they are slowly unleashing on the world, with four more singles already in the pipeline that will no doubt further exemplify their knack for creating uniquely experimental, but catchy and hook-ridden R&B.
