Swedish rockers Delsbo Beach Club show their swing on “Every Hour”
Stockholm four-piece Delsbo Beach Club preview their forthcoming EP with new track “Every Hour”.
It’s been a long journey for Delsbo Beach Club, and they're on the brink of releasing their debut EP, but there are Himalayan roads less precarious and windy than the one they took here. Starting out as frontman Erik Björklund's solo project, debut single “All The Way Down” landed in 2017 before the band went through a carousel of line-up changes, losing five members across two changes before getting to here.
Their first EP Four Tracks And A Burger is out tomorrow, but before that is a track taken from it to preview. “Every Hour” sees the band dabble in a little doo-wop swing, as Björklund test-drives his ability to write a Buddy Holly-esque bit of skittering, crooner indie-rock. It fizzes with energy, and two-steps its way to three minutes of guitar-pop fun.
“The final result of this EP is something that I’m very proud of," Björklund says. "I’ve learned so much about what it actually takes to put together an EP or an album. But most of all I’m incredibly pleased with the songs. When hearing the final mixes and masters I really heard the full potential, something I might have been a bit blind about after dragging out on this process for almost a year”.
