Declan J. Donovan debuts with "Fallen So Young", a best man's speech set to music
Nostalgic and emotional, Declan J. Donovan's debut "Fallen So Young" began its life as the best man's speech he wrote for his brother's wedding.
A prime example of stirring acoustic balladry, "Fallen So Young" is the first release from Essex-born newcomer Declan J. Donovan. A moving acoustic guitar led track which was performed at Donovan's brother wedding and later a demo version of the song was uploaded to Soundcloud. That demo version has since surpassed one millions streams, far more people than were originally in attendance at the wedding.
Donovan explains “‘Fallen So Young’ is about my brother Michael and his wife Hayleigh and how they've been together since they were 15. And still just as in love, 16 years later. It's written as a love letter from Michael to Hayleigh." With his unshakable voice and heartfelt lyrics, "Fallen So Young" is stellar debut and just the beginning of what is shaping up to be an exciting year for the singer-songwriter.
