Parisian outfit DBFC reveal more stylish electro-pop in the form of "Get It All"
Judging by their first two tracks, "Leave My Room" and previous Song Of The Day "Staying Home", DBFC seemed intent on continuing a long tradition of Parisian electro-pop cool à la Justice, Kavinsky and Phoenix, all the way to Jacno. But here, the band's Manchester roots are also brought to the fore, with wandering Britpop guitar lines and new wave vocal melodies creating this nonchalantly slick and catchy new track "Get It All".
Opening with an oh-so-throwback percussive loop reminiscent of Blur's "Music Is My Radar" , "Get It All" sticks steadfastly to its driving synthpop template throughout, but keeps things light by layering Django Django-esque harmonies across the carefree lead vocals. Though it's masked in a modern cool sheen, those who remember, say, Wax's "Building A Bridge To Your Heart" won't discover much new here, musically.
But that's not the point - this is effortlessly cool and disposable party fodder to help get you through the gloomy winter months. Stream now below.
