We’ve been fairly vocal about our appreciation for new Swedish ‘super-group’ Serenades (one half Shout Out Louds, one half Laakso) these past few weeks – their debut single ‘Birds’ being one of the unmitigated summer jams of the year so far. Here, Dan Lissvik of Studio grabs ‘Birds’ by the short and curlies and squeezes out even more summer juice; moving away from his usual flamenco guitar strewn progressive beats this is perhaps the most optimistic we’ve heard Lissvik since he re-worked Shout Out Louds ‘Impossible’ a few years back. Obviously SOL’s and Serenades Adam Olenius brings out the best in DL.
