Dutch/British trio Cubicolor are back with "Hardly A Day, Hardly A Night", a hauntingly intimate track lifted from their forthcoming third album of the same name.
"Hardly A Day, Hardly A Night" opens with a muffled, industrial beat that pumps warmth into the icy track.
The echoing beat adds a haunting tone to the song, as the keys melody hums with melancholia as it slowly builds to the first verse like trudging across a vast mountainous terrain.
British singer/songwriter Tim Digby-Bell unveils his mesmerising, delicate vocals, painting a picture of an isolated, untouched landscape, which is both pure and terrifying.
The beauty of the stillness builds as Dutch producers Peter Kriek and Ariaan Olieroock introduce layered guitar melodies that unwrap the delicate track to reveal a more euphoric tone.
Cubicolor's new single manages to encapsulate a mix of contrasting emotions - a fragility so pure that you daren't touch it, and euphoria that burns so bright that you can't ignore it - all blended in to one track that projects hope, loss, and a cycle of time all in one.
