Cousin Kula finish off OODLES EP with psych-jazz number "Off Your Chest"
Bristol psych sextet Cousin Kula have shared "Off Your Chest", the final track from their debut EP OODLES.
The EP also includes tracks such as screwball odyssey "Ode To Lyle" and "Hesitation". Cousin Kula have worked with Oliver Baldwin (PJ Harvey) and Jim Barr (Portishead) on the release.
Sitcom organs and Glass Animals-y vocals collide on the wormy "Off Your Chest", an agitated song that sounds like ants crawling underneath skin - it's energetic, frenetic, and packed with moments that zig and zag away from the rest of the mix. It's got a few nods to angular art-poppers Dutch Uncles, but with dollops of slinky lounge jazz and rippling psychedelia to boot.
Cousin Kula have a show at Brighton's The Arch scheduled for 28 April 2018. Find out more.
