Listen: Cosmo's Midnight - "Snare" [Premiere]
Cosmo’s Midnight are Sydney-based twins Cosmo and Patrick who since 2013 - maybe even earlier - have been making music on computers. The duo has built up quite a following, offering original material and remixes for artists such as AlunaGeorge, Destiny’s Child and Panama. To their eager meme-expert crowd, they finally unveil “Snare” after more than five months of hibernation.
"Snare" features vocals from London-based Wild Eyed Boy and is a surprisingly breezy composition for this time of the year with its shuffling beat and siren-like synth orchestration. Filled with quick-witted metaphors and sensual seductiveness, “Snare” is coy R&B in a Disclosure-cum-Sam Smith kind of way, with the added lush, carnival-esque side of the brother duo's days of old.
