Listen: Colleagues - "Parent's House" (Simian Ghost remix) [Premiere]
Combining two of the most exciting Swedish acts to break on our shores in the past year, alt-pop act Simian Ghost give Colleagues’ break-through hit “Parent’s House” a glittery and gorgeous revamp.
Following new track “Tears”, Colleagues have been causing quite a storm in the UK with their insanely catchy brand of synth-pop. Signed to London In Stereo’s new imprint, In Stereo Records, it’s safe to say the band have been everywhere recently. Naturally, it makes sense for them to partner with fellow Swedes Simian Ghost for a reworking of their breakthrough track.
What follows is a finely crafted track of epic proportions. Mixing euphoric synth lines guaranteed to cause goose pimples with a rhythmic groove that’s as easy-going as they come, this remix of “Parent’s House” has summer hit written all over it. However, it’s when the saxophone kicks in that the track is really driven into new territory, seamlessly highlighting the song’s infectious, lovable vibe.
“Tears/Parent’s House” is out now via In Stereo Records.
