Kent songwriter CHERITON completes debut EP with the reflective guitar-pop of "Wish You The Best"
Based in London, Nick Harrison aka CHERITON leads his indie-pop aspirations with the glow of letting go on "Wish You The Best".
One of three original tracks which make up his first EP Parallel, which is out now via rising independent label So Good So Good, "Wish You The Best" is Harrison's most enigmatic work to date.
It's all about ending a relationship on good terms, it may be over but there's still some love left as Harrison sends his best regards to his ex and their new partner. With its retrospective look back on where things went wrong, "Wish You The Best" is closure and therapy wrapped into it one almost three-minute package.
This is the final part of the story which is told on the EP, which was written following a break-up. Harrison explains "the Parallel EP is a collection of songs which helped me get my head around it."
"The world is a strange and scary place at the moment, seemingly so little positives alongside so many negatives," he adds. "I feel at times so disconnected... This EP I suppose is my way of connecting with people again, sharing myself in these songs."
The EP is completed by two live tracks – one is a performance of the collection's title track and the other is Harrison and his band's reimagining of Robyn's 2019 instant classic "Ever Again".
