Che Lingo hooks up with Kendrick Lamar-producer Like for soulful house jam "Feet Your Feelings"
"Feet Your Feelings" sees rising South London emcee Che Lingo drop his mellowest cut to date.
The track is produced by Like, known for his production on Kendrick Lamar's "Sing About Me" (from Good Kid, M.A.A.D City) and his work with Anderson .Paak, Mac Miller and Joey Badass. Lingo hooked up with Like during a week in LA after a run of performances at SXSW earlier this year.
“Dancing is like second nature to my friends, family & culture”, says Lingo. “It’s just how we express ourselves. I wanted to make a song that gives us all the room in the world for that rather than just a reason to jump up and down.”
"I listened to a lot of reggae growing up in my nan's house and a lot of bashment and garage and hiphop too in my own time. This song reminds me of a small club in a marketplace with smokers and low lights. It’s soulful and jumpy but still quite mellow. It can kind of go anywhere."
The track's taken from the upcoming Sensitive EP due out 22 June; there's a headline show before that at London's Omera on 9 June.
