Casi stamps her mark on the impending summer with "Lion"
Chess Club's latest signee Casi shares "Lion", the first track from her upcoming AA-side.
It's an impressive first release from Wales-born, London-based Casi. "Lion" is a dramatic synthpop tune that has its sights trained on The Big Leagues - gut-punch drops, skittering beats, Romantic touches, sparkling melodies... it's got all the ingredients a hearty pop anthem requires.
Casi's vocals are particularly striking. Not only is her of-course-she's-gonna-be-huge voice something very special, she's not afraid to twist and tear into the pristine pop gloss with a veritable war chest of effects.
"Lion"/"Golden Age Thinking" will be released via Chess Club (MØ, Pumarosa) as a 7" on 25 July. The single's out now digitally.
Casi is currently working on her debut record.
