Carl Louis teams up with Frøder on the luxurious '80s disco of "Come With Me"
Norwegian Carl Louis has spent the past couple of years dividing his time between producing other artists and creating his own music, but 2017 will see him fully focused on his own songs as he prepares to release his full-length debut album.
On tracks such as ARY's debut "Higher" and across his own mini-album Telescope, Carl Louis focused on house-style production but on "Come With Me" - featuring the vocal talents of fellow Norwegian and future star Frøder - he takes his cues from the '80s club scene.
Buzzing synths with more than a nod to Daft Punk combine with insistent 808s to create a throbbing base for Frøder's icily angelic vocal to float across. She's accompanied by flourishes of harp strings and a twinkling, cosmic atmosphere. An outro featuring a subdued sax solo only adds to the luxurious atmosphere created by the duo on what's a terrific taster for the appropriately-titled Memory Lane record.
