Cameron AG announces debut EP alongside gorgeous title track “Way Back Home”
2016 is looking good for Cameron AG. With Annie Mac behind him - including her live slot at the tastemaker thoroughfare that is London’s ICA - the Oxford multi-instrumentalist has made an extremely promising start.
His gorgeous, Tobias Jesso Jr-nodding debut “Lost Direction”, which was premiered on Mac’s Radio One show at the back end of last year, set the tone, and now the young balladeer has given us a gorgeous taste of his debut EP, set for release on 25 March.
Picking-up where its predecessor left off, “Way Back Home” is a beautifully simple, subtle outing showcasing his effortlessly languid vocal, which weaves above more organic piano chord work. However, production is bolstered in this new one by layers of carefully crunching, reverberating guitar and crackling percussion, pushing the swooning, bucolic track forward.
