Racoon Racoon join Camel Power Club on delicate choral breakup ballad "A Wave Of Goodbyes"
Beautiful and atmospheric, new track "A Wave Of Goodbyes" sees Camel Power Club enlist the help of French chamber folk duo Racoon Racoon, who give voice to its haunting delicacy.
Written in the heart of the French Alps, "A Wave Of Goodbyes" echoes with choral-sounding harmonies. Its resounding sadness no doubt stems from its subject matter: beautiful as it is, the track cannot escape that it is, at its core, a breakup song. It depicts the moment post-relationship where one person has moved on, and the other is left to face the lingering negative space. "A Wave Of Goodbyes" turns that emptiness into spacious, beautiful mourning, that is at once familiar and difficult to listen to.
Featured artists Racoon Racoon hope to release their debut full-length later this year, whilst Camel Power Club takes on Mexico's largest music festival (Pal' Norte, Monterrey) on 22 March.
