Callum Pickard & The Third Look share hazy summer single "June"
Coventry-based musician Callum Pickard & The Third Look is set to release new single “June” at the perfect time; the sun is shining, the afternoons are hazy, and “June” is a track most suited to listening on a lazy summers’ afternoon.
“June” is a tightly composed, gently acoustic track that displays a knack for rolling, quiet ambition, whilst boasting credits from CJ Camerieri (Sufjan Stevens, Bon Iver) and Brian Joseph (The Staves, Bon Iver), giving the song professionalism and maturity beyond the expectations of a 21-year-old newcomer.
There’s something tantalisingly airy and fresh about “June”, whether it be the tinge of folk and country in the track, or the crisp, natural vocals that marry together in a cocktail as suited for summer afternoons as a cold glass of Pimms.
