By Land's celestial new track "Drift" is a reminder to trust your instincts
Swedish producer/songwriter and ALMA collaborator By Land has shared his atmospheric new single "Dirft".
"Drift" is the second single from By Land, aka Björn Lindberg, after January's debut offering "Half of Us". Both tracks will feature on his forthcoming debut album I Shall Name You Björn.
Lindberg's new track is both eerie and heavenly. The high-pitched synths echo in the introduction like an angelic, yet haunting alarm before By Land's falsetto vocals roll in. Lindberg's voice compliments the delicacy of the instrumentals, slipping into the same lane as SOHN, The Acid, and at times, Efterklang.
The crisp, glacial beat emphasises the celestial tones of the track as Lindberg sings about trusting your own decisions and what your body, or your gut, tells you. In his own words, Lindberg says, "My rational mind is often trying to suppress my gut feeling. "Drift" is a reminder for myself to trust my feelings and let them come forward."
