The title-track to Bullion’s new EP, “We Had A Good Time” is an immersive piece of electronic pop.
The new track from Bullion, the project of Nathan Jenkins, is washed in intoxicating synths, while Jenkins' delicate vocals invites you into what feels like a deeply personal song. The opening line, “So I’m the lucky one,” sounds like an assertion on first listen, but throughout the track it suggests Bullion is seeking reassurance.
Co-written with DJ and producer Diego Herrera (also known as Suzanne Kraft), the track is part of a wider EP that's an intimate experience. With his unorthodox route to his present position, comprising of a discography ranging from electronic pop to new wave and rave, it's hard to imagine how Jenkins could've created anything that wasn’t authentic with a refreshing dose of the peculiar. Recorded in Jenkins' home studio in the springtime, We Had A Good Time has just been released through Bullion’s own imprint, DEEK.
