Listen: Brown Brogues – Split Disc [Premiere]
Manchester duo Brown Brogues have been busy carving out their own noisy little niche in the city’s post-rock/art-pop resurgence.
‘Split Disc’ is the lead single off their forthcoming second LP Triflin’. Mark and Ben have lost none of the tinny bite that first endeared on their blurry-edged debut album, Born to Lose, although this latest offering provides some light to go with the gloomy garage-rock shade in the form of cloying harmonies and playfully snarky lyricism.
Brown Brogues’ new album is out 1 October via Stolen Body Records/Ultra Cool Records. Pre-order here.
