Bristol grunge act Sœur ignite the dancefloor with "No Fire"
Bristol-based grunge rockers Sœur have shared "No Fire", their gloriously dark new single/video.
The trio - Anya Pulver, Tina Maynard, and James Collins - have already been causing a ruckus in the south west.
"No Fire" sees rocket-fuelled duelling harmonies from Pulver and Collins (formerly the drummer for Maybeshewill) strewn across jagged rock landscapes - it's big and it's abrasive, and you won't be able to resist hitting repeat again and again and again.
Ali Chant (PJ Harvey) and Jamie Ward helped produce/record/mix the cut.
"It doesn’t matter who you are, we are all sisters," says Pulver of Sœur. "Music is a reminder of our innate connection to each other. When you write music with someone, you’re spilling your guts out in front of them - a display of sheer vulnerability. Being in a band is just like being in a relationship; you are exposed to the darkest parts of each other and you learn to grow together."
Sœur will play Bristol's Louisiana on 7 December.
