Chill out with Brika's new summer-ready single "Don't Want Your Love"
Switch off and unwind with singer/songwriter Brika's new single "Don't Want Your Love" - brush off your worries and float away on this refreshingly breezy tune.
Back in 2014, under her Brika stage name, Briana Alexa Martinez released debut album Voice Memos, a collection of songs (featuring highlight "Expectations"), that showed off her eclectic range of influences culminating in a solid alt. pop effort. The Miami-born artist's new single is the second taste of a forthcoming EP, which is set to be released later this year, and follows first single the similarly smooth "You".
The new track shows a progression in Brika's sound, it still encorporates the R&B, jazz, and electronic which made Brika's music originally so pleasing, but now everything has been amped up with a more direct focus on the song's infectious hook. With its simple guitar riffs contrasting with the array of instrumental and vocal samples, "Don't Want Your Love" will have you nodding your head from first listen and picking out new intricacies on every further one.
