Say hello to Boniface, the twee pop boychild putting Winnipeg on the map
Get ready for some sentimental sweetness and overbearing wanderlust…
“I Will Not Return As A Tourist” is the first track penned by Boniface, the milk carton kid mixing ‘80s high school drama with Charlie Fink levels of emotional outpouring. Reminiscent of M83 and the Helio Sequence this crisp little number exudes joviality and vulnerability in equal measure, ultimately addressing the question small town adolescents spend a lot of time asking: how the fuck do I get out of here?

Ruminating on the track, Boniface explains "It’s one of the first songs I ever wrote, and it kept popping up and kept being relevant to my life. It’s a song about feeling kind of restless and feeling a little bit helpless, like you’re more of a spectator in your own life. The line ‘I will not return as a tourist’ is a resolution to be more active in your own life and wanting to be a participant and not an observer.”
