Bloc Party's Matt Tong shares four tracks from new post-punk project L'Amour Bleu
L'Amour Bleu are a post-punk (though they save "modern rock/meat wave") foursome from Queens, New York.
According to this live listing, the band features Ryan Schaefer, Shane Ruth, and EA Ireland. Former Bloc Party drummer Matt Tong is also in the mix. However, on Twitter, Tong disputes the members' names:
.@julianrwilliams We're a 4 piece. Boner: bass, She-Tong: drums/guitar, Baby: dancing/backing vox/drum machine, Cobra Verde: vox/guitar
— Matt Tong (@MCH_Tong) September 22, 2015
Together they make raw, garage-tinged post-punk with a double helping of swagger. They've shared four tracks in the last 24 hours.
This is not the first band that Matt Tong has released music with recently - he also teams up with Alex Newport as Red Love.
