Sheffield’s Blessa play up similarities to the best part of Dum Dum Girls (Frankie Rose’s vocals and guitar work) by infusing undeniably cool and collected, fuzzed out guitar riffs with fervent, strung-out-on-heartache lyrics, that play a game of hop scotch with our emotions. Though after quite a few listens to both of Blessa’s Soundcloud demos, the more striking the similarities to early No Doubt recordings and Gwen Stefani concert performances they become. We’re more enamored with every listen.
